The Jukola challenge cup, Viertolan Härkä (the ox of Viertola) was given to Kalevan Rasti. The challenge cup has been carved out of birchwood by Ms. Salla Salo and Mr. Oiva Kentta from the Jurva Institute of Art in western Finland. The challenge cup is donated by the newspaper Helsingin Sanomat.
This challenge cup will be circulated for the next 7 years. The picture below has the challenge cup makers and the Helsingin Sanomat representative handing out the challenge cup to the Kalevan Rasti team.
