Finnish Marimekko has cooperated with the Jukola organisation for several years. This year once again there will be a Marimekko shop in the Jukola competition center. There you can buy the latest Marimekko products and get special Jukola offers.
Virkiä Jukola hosts the 30th Venla relay, and in honor of this, Marimekko offers each Venla relay competitor a Marimekko wash cloth. In the picture the wash cloth is presented by Ms. Tiia Pöntinen of the Lapuan Virkiä women's baseball team.
The Venla anniversary has attracted the winning Venla team of 1979 to take part. The team is in its original composition: Leena Mutka, Hennariikka Lonka and Annariitta Kottonen. The fourth orienteer is still a mystery. Another winning team is the 1992 winner, and the last Swedish team to win, IK Hakarpspojkarna with the exact same composition as in 1992.
